A Guide for Staff

The Reference list

All references used in the assignment text need including in the reference list. This is arranged in alphabetical order by author surname. Books, journals and other media are all included in the same list. It is important to follow ‘the style’ of punctuation and order of information consistently and to include all bibliographic information for each reference type. For books you need to include the following information in the specified format, for example  for books;  Author(s). (year of publication), title, title of series (if applicable), edition, publisher(s), place of publication. Below is an example of a Reference List which is includes the most common types of citations.
