Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry

This 2-year training program provides the formal education component of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). The course consists of seminars and small group supervision one day per week.

RANZCP Advanced Trainees and Psychiatrists are eligible to join this course. Applications from Paediatricians, advanced Paediatric trainees and Career Medical Officers are also considered. The course is also accredited for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry component of Dual Fellowship (RANZCP and RACP) training.

A limited number of Training Fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry are available through the Institute. These grants are funded by NSW Health and allow trainees flexibility of clinical placements over the term of their training. They can be taken full- or part-time.
