The NSW Institute of Psychiatry in partnership with the NSW Mental Health Association, are currently rolling out the 'Understanding Mental Health and Wellbeing' workshop. The workshop is FREE.

New Unit of Study

MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCY CARE Online Unit of Study

The Mental Health Emergency Care – Online unit was developed by the Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health (CRRMH) in collaboration with the NSW Institute of Psychiatry and NSW Health. The program aims to improve the skills and knowledge of health workers involved in providing mental health emergency care. The MHEC online unit is an accredited elective in the Masters of Mental Health at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry. Scholarships are available for 2010 and NSW Health staff are encouraged to apply.

Prof Scott Stuart (M.D.) is the President and co-founder of the International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapists and Director of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute. He is a Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology in the Departments of Psychiatry of the University of Iowa (USA). Prof Scott Stuart has been active in clinical work, education and research in the areas of Interpersonal Psychotherapy and perinatal psychiatry during the last two decades.
